  8.        4DOS/DOS Batch  Utilities are the  copyrighted property of  Peter
  9.        Ogden.  You  are  granted  a  limited  license  to use, copy, and
  10.        distribute 4DDBU provided the following conditions are met:

  12.           A. Copying  and  distribution  fees   may  not  exceed  $15.00
  13.              Australian.

  15.           B. 4DDBU may  only be distributed in  its original, unmodified
  16.              state.

  18.        This software  is distributed under  the user supported  software
  19.        concept. Though 4DDBU is copyrighted,  you are encouraged to copy
  20.        and distribute this  program to others. If you  like this product
  21.        and find it useful, a registration  fee of $20.00 AUS is required
  22.        for   continued   use.   Registered   users   will  receive  free
  23.        registration of REBOOT (another  product written by Peter Ogden).
  24.        A twelve  month instant  update plan  is available  (new versions
  25.        will  be mailed  to you  as  soon  as they  are complete)  for an
  26.        additional $25.00 AUS. Site licenses are available.

  28.        The user  supported software concept (also  known as "shareware")
  29.        is an attempt  to provide quality software at low cost.  Both the
  30.        user and author benefit from this plan.  The user will benefit by
  31.        being able to "test  drive" software thoroughly before purchasing
  32.        it.  The author  benefits by  being able  to enter the commercial
  33.        software  market  while  avoiding  the  high  cost  of commercial
  34.        distribution.

  36.        This concept  helps many independent authors  and small companies
  37.        that would otherwise be discouraged from developing and promoting
  38.        their ideas.  It can only work with your support. If you obtain a
  39.        user supported program  from a friend and you  are still using it
  40.        after a few weeks,  then it is obviously  worth something to you,
  41.        and a contribution should be sent.
